What’s My Learning Style

I am an active learner that allows little or no class time for discussion or problem-solving activities. To help myself with the teaching in the classroom, basically I will be creating group activities in my class to work on special projects in the classroom. Also I am a sensing learner. Basically, I tend to be patient with my students and good at memorizing facts and doing hands-on activities with my students in the classroom. I like to give lots of examples while I am teaching the class.

I am a visual learner, which allows me to draw diagrams, sketches, flow charts, or any other visual representation of course material that is predominantly verbal. I use lots of color-coding in my classroom for all my six classes that I teach already.  In teaching Math for the first year, I have discovered that I am more of a sequential learner. As a sequential learner, I use lots of steps by steps to solve the problems that I teach in the class.

Why I want to be a teacher?

The reason why I want to be a teacher because I want to make a difference in my students lives. I believe that our students are our future.  I have always wanted to become a teacher. Currently I am teaching Math at Middle school. I have always wanted to teach Math, Math is my favorite subject and I have always wanted to teach Math to middle school students. This is my first year of teaching and I really enjoy it.
